We recently celebrated the annual Christmas gathering of our lab! This year, Gérard invited us over for a walking dinner full of delicacies, followed by a secret Santa with loads of gifts! We had a great night!

Fanny Fievez got a grant from the Belgian Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) involving 3 years of funding and the possibility to complete her thesis. Her goal is to better understand the functional role of motor inhibition, focusing on interactions between cognitive and motor processes.
In May 2017, J.Duque and A.Zénon were awarded the Solvay Prize by the “Queen Elisabeth Medical Foundation for Neurosciences” for the CoActions’ work on Parkinson’s disease. This video was realized for the official ceremony at the Royal Palace of Brussels. It provides some insight into the work that has been performed lately in the Coactions Lab on this important neurodegenerative disease.
Thomas Carsten joined the CoActions Lab shortly after finishing his PhD in Psychology at the University of Ghent. With his experience in TMS and EEG, he aims to investigate the interplay between motor preparation and propensity for response initiation. More info about Thomas can be found here: [Link].
